Recovery Coaching
A Recovery Coach, also known as a Sober Coach, is a generic term that covers many different roles. A Recovery Coach is a kind of “Life Coach” that helps clients make smart choices and healthy decisions, with the number-one priority being not picking up a drink or a drug that day, or acting out in their addiction. Hiring a Recovery Coach is like buying an insurance policy against relapse. Returning home from rehab, familiar sights like drugs and alcohol left in the home can be triggering, while the realities of life—job pressures, family tension, bills piling up—can all be overwhelming. This is a good time to ask for help.
I can help you navigate the treacherous path of early sobriety. I’ll share what’s worked with me in the past and what’s working now. I’ll meet you exactly where you are, spiritually, mentally and physically. I’ll not only help you stay sober but also show you how to be happy and enjoy sobriety.
A recovery coach can help you create healthy boundaries in all areas of your life. They can teach communication skills to help you relate openly and honestly with family members and challenging relationships in your life. In the workplace, they can guide you on how to respond to questions and concerns of co-workers, customers, and colleagues, helping you learn what to say and what not to say. This kind of help can make the difference between staying stuck in an endless cycle of addiction and breaking through to a life of fulfillment in recovery.

Scheduling The Appointment
Generally I’m available Monday thru Thursday, between 9am – 5pm HST, appointments can be arranged at other times. Compare your time zone with HST here.
I will confirm the date and time you requested on the checkout page by text or email.

- We’ll meet in person or by the ZOOM secure screen-sharing application.
- If it’s your first session with me the length will be 60 minutes. Subsequent sessions are 30 minutes in length.
- Recovery Coaching Packages Include:
- Weekly 30 minute session
- Daily text or email check in
- Most Recovery Coaching sessions consist of sitting and talking.
- We will discover the full scope of your life’s challenges.
- We will prioritize those challenges in order of urgency.
- We will design action plans for each area identified.
- We will take action together towards those goals.
How Secure Are The Video Sessions?
When choosing a sharing platform, security is the number one concern for me. This is why I utilize Zoom, the most awarded video conferencing platform with its Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit algorithm. All video sharing is encrypted end-to-end. How Does The Screen Sharing Work?
It’s as simple as clicking a link!
1. After booking a session, your requested date and time will be confirmed shortly by email, in which you’ll receive the ZOOM link for your appointment.
2. Well before the session ensure the internet connection can stream video/movies without any issues. Test your computers microphone, audio & webcam here: https://zoom.us/test. For more info about the test, click here.
3. Five minutes prior to the scheduled session, click the ZOOM link, in the email mentioned above, to open the session in Zoom in your internet browser.
4. End the session by closing the web browser, this will ensure all screen sharing has concluded.
Are the sessions recorded?
Video sessions are never recorded.
How is my privacy ensured?
All information you provide to Soul Search Counseling is NEVER shared with any other entity.
What if there is a technical issue?
I will call and also email you after 5 minutes of the appointment has elapsed.
